Sleep & Relaxation

Our Sleep & Relaxation collection gathers eight plants with a long history in the herbal traditions of Europe and North America. Each is an alcohol-free tincture made with Extranatur, our patented alcohol-free extraction method, always prepared from the dried plant.

  • Valerian (Valeriana officinalis), root: described by the Greek physician Dioscorides and present in European herbals ever since.
  • Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata), herb with flowers: native to the southeastern United States, named by Spanish missionaries after the Passion of Christ.
  • California poppy (Eschscholzia californica), herb: the state flower of California since 1903.
  • Hops (Humulus lupulus), female flower cones: grown in European monasteries since the Middle Ages.
  • Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), leaf: a monastery garden plant, named melissa from the Greek word for honeybee.
  • German and Roman chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla and Chamaemelum nobile), flower: the name comes from the Greek for “earth apple,” after its scent.
  • Silver linden (Tilia tomentosa), flower and bract: a tree of southeastern Europe, planted along avenues and in village squares.
  • Blue skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora), herb: a North American native named for the helmet shape of its flower.
