Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia and Lavandula hybrida)

Lavender belongs to the Lamiaceae family, like thyme and rosemary. Lavandin, or hybrid lavender, is a natural cross between true lavender and spike lavender (Lavandula latifolia).

• True lavender essential oil: distilled from the flowering tops of Lavandula angustifolia, also known as Lavandula officinalis.
• Hybrid lavender or lavandin essential oil: distilled from the flowering tops of Lavandula hybrida.

Both come in 10 or 30 ml amber glass bottles. They are natural food flavourings: a few drops are enough to flavour 100 g of food.

Good to know before use. Lavender essential oils must not be used pure, only after diluting them appropriately. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. You'll find the full warnings on each product page.
