Red Chestnut – Bach Flowers (Aesculus carnea)

Red Chestnut is one of the 38 emotional flowers or Bach flowers. It is made from the flowers of the red horse-chestnut (Aesculus carnea). Bach placed it in the group ‘Fear’.

According to Bach, this is the flower for anyone who worries too much about their loved ones, to the point where fear for them becomes a burden. The red horse-chestnut is a cross between the common horse-chestnut and an American species with red flowers.

On this page you'll find Red Chestnut in both Naturalma versions, in a 30 ml amber glass bottle:

  • With brandy: the original preparation, with water and alcohol from brandy.
  • Alcohol-free: with vegetable glycerine and water, for those who prefer it without alcohol.

Both versions contain the same red horse-chestnut flowers: only the base is different. The directions on the label are the same for both versions: 4 drops directly into the mouth, one to three times a day, at any time.

All 38 Bach flowers are on the Bach Flowers page.
